Copper Wire Tea Strainer
Hand made by a long tradition of superior Kyoto craftsmanship, the company is family run, with the father and son being the sole artisans. The intricacy of the knit pattern and the fine workmanship are the defining features of this tea strainer. In addition to green and black teas, it can also be used for powdered tea.
It is recommended to rinse clean the mesh basket after use, to prevent clogging. After washing, gently remove excess moisture and allow it to air dry naturally. Do not wash with metal scrubbing brushes.
If desired, or needed, use a non toxic cleaner, such as lemon juice and salt, to maintain the copper’s luster and prevent a patina from developing.
While our copper products can be used in dishwashers along with our stainless steel products, we recommend limited dishwasher use in order to enjoy the changes in copper aging with long-term use. Do not wash with metal scrubbing brushes.
